Many prospecting home owners are greatly surprised to hear how low property taxes are in Wyoming. What a great incentive to buy a house or land in the Jackson Hole area. The state in fact limits the amount that property taxes can increase.

Currently the state's residential property tax rate is 0.735% of the market value of the home. Surrounding states tax 1.4% on average and all states on average tax between 1.2% and 1.5%. Although prices of property and land are higher in Jackson, Wyoming, having much lower property taxes makes investing in the area or state that much more desirable.
