To get to Driggs from Jackson, head west along Highway 22, passing though the small town of Wilson at the base of Teton Pass. Continue over the steep pass, keeping and eye out for wildlife and hitchhiking skiers. At the base of the pass on the Idaho side, you will enter the town of Victor, Idaho which is located about 24 miles from Jackson. The road turns into Highway 33 on which you will continue north through a couple stop lights. Within a couple miles, you will gain views of the west side of the Tetons on your way to Driggs, located 8 miles from Victor.
Along the way to Driggs, you will pass the entrance to Darby Canyon which offers a myriad of of biking and hiking trails. One popular and short trail leads to the wind caves which you can explore with headlamps and helmets. You will also pass farms and ranches that have existed in the area for decades.
Larger than Victor, Driggs has a grocery store, restaurants, post office, banks, outdoor gear stores, and easy access to Grand Targhee Ski Resort. On your way to Grand Targhee, which is located east of Driggs in Wyoming, you'll pass through the small town of Alta, Wyoming. Near Alta, you can take a right along a dirt road leading to Teton Canyon which offers breathtaking hiking trails which eventually connect with the trails of Grand Teton National Park.
