Wilson is located at the base of Teton Pass about 7 miles west of Jackson along Highway 22. At the traffic light just after you cross the Snake River, continue west on Highway 22. Just after crossing Fish Creek, you enter Wilson, home to nearly 200 residents.

In Wilson you will find several restaurants, a gas station, post office, general store, bar, bike shop, bank, elementary school, as well as several other services and amenities. Homes are either located along Fish Creek Road to the north, and Fall Creek Road to the South. You will also find several ranches, farms, and stables. Much of the available real estate in Wilson include luxury homes, rustic log cabins, and undeveloped property.

Following Fall Creek Road to the South will eventually lead you to the Snake River. Along the way, you will notice part of the hillside is recovering from a forest fire. The Green Knoll Fire of 2001 burned thousands of acres of forest, yet took no homes.
